Day 1. Five Ways to Win Your Heart
Everyone deserves someone who makes them laugh, takes them for who they are, values their family, and so on. Everyone. So my list is some extra stuff I’ve learned to value via my own trail and errors with boys. AKA stuff that doesn’t send me running for the hills. lol
1. Versatility — I wanna be able to take you from the Beatles to the Beastie Boys. I wanna be able to take you from a club to an open mic night to the park to a work party to eating ube ice cream at my grandma’s house (not necessarily in that order) without second guessing a thing.
2. Be an onion — Let me earn my way through your emotional layers. I may be over my “bad boy” phase, but I still love figuring out the mysteries and complexities of a person. But onions make me cry every time I deal with them, and that part you can leave out.
3. Follow through — I said it once and I’ll say it again: Ambition is important, baby, but not as much as follow through. It takes a certain type of man to have passions, and balls enough to chase them, but you are on a whole ‘nother level if you’re making moves to make them happen.
4. Flowers and non flowers -- In my entire dating career I’ve been given my fair share of long-stemmed NEGATIVE POINTS (haha), but only one guy ever showed interest in finding out what my favorite flower is.
5. Partnership - Because in the end it all comes down to pushing each other, supporting each other, and growing up. It means more than just having a boyfriend, it’s about having a teammate who inspires you to be the best version of yourself. Everyday.
